Budget Fence N Deck just completed a patio cover and deck combo installation in the Oak Point, Texas area. We do cover the entire DFW metroplex and are physically located in Dallas, Texas.
On this particular patio cover and deck we used pressure treated framing and cedar deck boards along with cedar framing for the cover using 4x10 beams and 2x6 rafters. The entire job was stained in Ready Seal pecan color stain.
The lumber was prestained prior to installation which makes it easier to apply and it is also covers the wood better as the entire surface gets stained.
The cover was a slanted roof attached on top of the existing roof and recessed about 2 feet back. The shingles match the existing houses roof. A layer of plywood and cedar pickets were layed down to give the underside a more finished look. The beams are 6x6 and boxed on the bottom where it meets the deck.
